Kid's Night Out

The girls loved their new umbrellas that they got at Walmart. They are looking forward to the next time that we have rain in Mesa!

Tonight we went to Chick-Fill -A. It was Kid's Night and the girls had a blast! Maddie loved hugging the big cow!


She had fun painting her dragonfly!

Carys loved her princess balloon and heart painting!

Then when we came home and the girls enjoyed playing outside on the swing set! It is so much fun to be out of school for the summer!

Riverview Park Fountains

What a great and fun way to cool off in the summer in Mesa!

Wouldn't this be fun to have in the backyard!

Maddie loved getting wet in the water!

Carys enjoyed skipping around the fountains!

The girls had the fountains to themselves and had a blast!

This is a great activity if you're looking for a fun way to beat the heat. The girls had a wonderful time playing in the fountains at Riverview Park! We had a blast and it's totally free!

Temple Trip

The girls always love to visit the temple!

They saw a duck and a duckling at the pool by the temple.

It was so pretty at the temple!

Carys's hair was blowing in the breeze.

Madison looked cute next to the flowers!

Troy's Graduation

Troy graduated on June 18th, 2010 at Camp Pendleton, CA after completing the Field Medical Service Technician course!

The weather was perfect in Oceanside that day.

The Field Medical Training Battalion is for the training of Hospital Corpsmen for duty with the Fleet Marine Force.


The Shielding Ceremony is a time honored tradition which concludes the General Duty Corpsman's transition to the Fleet Marine Force Corpsman. We are so proud of Troy!

It was great to be able to be at Troy's graduation.

He looks very handsome!

and is very happy to have his training completed!

After the ceremony we went to visit a few sights in San Diego. The Aircraft Carrier to the right is a museum that is huge!

This was a fun place to visit!

I though this was a pretty picture. We went to Anthony's Fish Grotto for lunch and were able to see a Dolphin training in the ocean. It was so much fun and quite an amazing show!

We were able to visit Coronado Island which is always one of my favorite places to be while in San Diego. The beach was beautiful!

Myrtle Beach and Sullivan's Island Beach

There were some beautiful beach homes on Syllivan's Island Beach.

Going to the beach was so much fun!

The weather was perfect at the beach and it

surprised me that the water wasn't even cold.

It is always hard to leave the beach!

The Cat in the Hat was a great friend!

There's lots of fun shopping at Myrtle Beach!

We went to the beach everyday since it was so

nice there! We would love to go to Myrtle beach again.

There were so many fun things to do there!

Middleton Plantation

My favorite flowers in South Carolina!

We loved the beautiful gardens at this plantation.


We were able to take a carriage ride through the plantation.

The horses were very gentle to touch.

The trees and gardens were lovely!

We even saw an alligator coming out of a pond!

I would have loved to have stayed longer here!

This would be a great place for a picnic!

We took a tour of the plantation guest home that

wasn't destroyed during the end of the Civil War!

This is the largest oak tree on the plantation!

This is the only statue that wasn't destroyed after the Civil War!

We were surrounded by America's oldest landscaped gardens and really enjoyed seeing this beautiful National Historic Landmark. We took a tour at the Middleton Place House Museum and learned so much about the 18th and 19th century Middleton family and their important role in American history.
