Christmas Pictures at the Temple

Stacey took family pictures of us at the temple yesterday. The kids did great and had a fun time together. Lance and Stephanie and the kids are looking forward to a baby boy next month. We are so excited to have another baby in the family! Stephanie will have lots of help with Alyssa and Ethan. They are both so good with babies and little kids. They are so sweet to their little brothers and to Carys and Madison! We are very happy to have such sweet grandkids!!

LeGrand's Graduation

LeGrand graduated on Thursday from ASU with a degree in Business Management. He is very happy to be out of school for a while. He is the fifth in our family to graduate from ASU. Go Sun Devils!!

Tom's Birthday

We celebrated Tom's 54th birthday on December 4th. The grandkids had a fun time helping him blow out the candles. We went out to eat at Serranos which is Tom's favorite place. He loves the bean dip. They even sang Happy Birthday to him. It was such a fun evening! We are very blessed that Tom is such a devoted husband, father and grandpa!

Santa arrives in a Helicopter!

We enjoyed a day at the Pera Club Christmas Carnival for SRP. The kids and all of us enjoyed the rides. I liked the train ride and the ferris wheel ride the best. We had a few sprinkles of rain before Santa arrived in a helicopter. The girls and my brothers kids were able to say hi to Santa and then sit in the helicopter. Carys and Madison love Matt and Jana and were excited to spend time with them. It was a fun, free family event!!

The Nativity at the Temple

Last night we took Carys and Madison to see the Temple lights and the nativity scene. The girls were so excited to see baby Jesus and all of the beautiful lights. We also enjoyed seeing the nativity displays from different countries inside the temple visitors center. It is an amazing display and we feel blessed to be so close to the temple!

Richard's 50th Birthday Party!

Tom's brother Richard celebrated his 50th birthday recently at the park. He is very happy to be a part of the elite 50 and over Club. It was a beautiful day and the kids had a blast playing at the park. We had pizza, lemon meringue pie and yummy chocolate cake with carmel filling. Barb made the cake and it was delicious! It was fun to see all of Richard's kids and I'm looking forward to seeing Courtney's new blog too!

Thanksgiving with the Family!

This year we had our Thanksgiving feast at my sister Susan's home. We took a big family picture, had a delicious dinner and then the kids had fun making turkey puppets. The weather was beautiful and we were able to eat outside. It was wonderful to spend time visiting and taking some pictures. I feel very grateful for family and friends during this special time of the year!

Walk to cure Diabetes

Today we went on the Walk to cure Diabetes. Matt invited us so we were a part of his team called Matt's Fan Club. It was at the Tempe Town Lake Park and we walked for about three and a half miles. It took about an hour and a half to walk. We didn't walk fast since there were so many people. They had lots of fun activities for the whole family and it was a wonderful way to raise money for a worthy cause. With all the research they are getting closer to finding a cure for it. It felt good to be a part of such a worth while event. There were over twenty-five thousand people there and they raised over two million dollars. Each of us wore green T-shirts that Matt designed. Next year I'm planning on inviting more friends and family to come along since we had such a great time!!

LeGrand's birthday

LeGrand had his birthday on October 25th too! We celebrated a few days later since he had class that night. Stacey made a delicious dinner for the family and it was fun to get together. We always enjoy stretching those birthdays out!!

Cinderella and Alice in Wonderland

The girls are so excited about Halloween and had a blast going trick-or-treating at Grandma's and Grandpa's house yesterday. They were planning to go to a Halloween carnival but Carys fell asleep on the way there. Even though they missed the carnival they both had fun in their costumes. Carys loves to twirl in her Cinderella dress and Madison looked so grown-up and cute with her blond wig as Alice in Wonderland. I'm so glad we see the grandkids as often as we do. They are fabulous!!
