Last Trip to Disneyland

Peter Pan is the first ride we like to go on and then we usually head for Dumbo! We had a fun day and since our season passes expired maybe we will try Sea World for a change! The best part of family trips is just spending time together!

Fun in Pinetop

We went to Pinetop a few weeks ago to see Marisol and Evan. They spoke in church and we took care of the boys. They both did great, we had a wonderful time and I saw so many people that I knew there. The weather was beautiful and we had so much fun playing with the boys. Marisol made a delicious dinner and we wish we could have stayed longer!

A visit to Fairview

Last week-end we drove to Fairview to visit Jason and Jessie. We were able to see lots of historical sites. My favorite was an old green chest that came across the plains in a covered wagon. Inside the chest was a beautiful hand stitched wedding dress that belonged to my great-great-great-grandmother who died while crossing the plains. The dress in the picture was made from the slip skirt from that hand stictched wedding dress. We also were able to see my great-great grandparents home in Fairview. While inside the museum we also saw a picture of the Vance brothers...one was Tom's Great-Great-Grandfather. It was amazing to see that both of our relatives founded Fairview. It was so beautiful there and we had a wonderful time at Jessie's parents cabin just 30 minutes from Fairview. As you can see from the pictures we had a blast and the scenery was breathtaking. My favorite part was the yummy food. Jessie is a fabulous cook and Jason barbecued some delicious steaks too. We were very blessed that Barb and Scott Elder shared their fabulous cabin with us!

Moving to Pinetop

Evan and Marisol recently moved to beautiful Pinetop, AZ. Evan is teaching Spanish at the High School there. He is a fabulous teacher and successfully completed his second week. He's a natural! We are looking forward to visiting them this week-end. We helped them move a few weeks ago and I can't wait to see little Evan, Jacob and Evan and Marisol. While we were there we went to Greer which is absolutely perfect. We had so much fun playing next to the creek. The weather is wonderful and hopefully we will get a little rain too!

Happy Birthday Jessie!!

We are so happy that Jessie is part of our family. She is such a beautiful and talented girl and so good to Jason! We love spending time with her. Jessie is so kind to her nieces and a wonderful example to everyone around her. Carys and Madison adore her and want to be around her all the time. Thanks for being so sweet and we hope you had a great birthday up at girl's camp. Happy Birthday Jessie...we love you!!!

Beautiful bright-eyed Sadie!

I haven't seen Sadie for over a week and I miss her so much. It is hard not being able to hold her and being so far away. I can't wait to see her again!! She is such a beautiful little baby girl!!
