Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our home this year. We were so happy that the weather was nice since we had quite a group (over thirty) for dinner. We had my parents, Susan's family and our family. It was a lovely day and I felt blessed that we were able to eat all together outside. The kids had fun playing on the teeter totter, making pinecone turkeys and gingerbread cookies while the big kids enjoyed playing Phase Ten, watching football and looking at the black Friday ads. Some of the kids stayed until midnight and then went shopping to get all the great Christmas sale deals. The next day we put up the Christmas decorations and it feels so good to get ready for Christmas. I've already started wrapping presents so I will be prepared early this year! We are planning to go to SRP's annual Christmas family party this Saturday with the grandkids. Santa comes in a helicopter and the kids always enjoy the day. Let me know it you want to go. I'm looking forward to spending another day with the kids!

Gingerbread Houses

For Veteran's Day I had the day off school so Carys and Madison came over for a visit. The girls saw the gingerbread house kit and wanted to build a gingerbread house. Tom picked the kits up earlier and I was glad they were so easy to put together. The icing was already mixed in a bag. The girls had fun putting on the candy and I had fun doing the icing and taking pictures. We all had a wonderful time!

Fun at Grandma's House

Carys and Madison love to play outside. We are enjoying the beautiful weather! We love spending time with the grandkids!

Happy Birthday Jason!

Jason was born in Douglas, AZ and was quickly air evacuated to Tucson Medical Center within 12 hours. One of the nurses told me that he had Catcry Syndrome and would only live to be about 6 months old. I was so worried and later they told me that his vocal cords were paralysed and hopefully they would heal up when he got older. Gradually he was able to cry and I was so happy to hear his voice. I was also thrilled when he said his first words. He was such a cute baby and is such a fine young man. I am so happy that he married Beautiful Jessie! Have a wonderful birthday Jason! We love you!!

JDRF walk for the cure

We had a great time at the JDRF walk for the cure of diabetes. Matt had quite a group to support him. It was a beautiful day and we had fun chatting as we walked around Tempe Town Lake. The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is dedicated to finding a cure!

Halloween 2008

The girls had fun dressing up for halloween this year. They went to parties, a fall festival and had a blast trick or treating! October is such a fun month for parties. It is hard to believe that it is already November!
